It was a beautiful, sun dappled day, and Jeff had taken his break outside, hoping to escape the sounds, and lately scents of the garage. Sitting on top of a picnic table, sneakers resting on the bench as he leaned back and peered up at the dazzling leaves above, he couldn’t help but sigh.
Beams of warm sunlight hit his face, nothing that his favorite brand of watermelon scented sunscreen couldn’t protect. It used to be rare to get moments like these where he felt safe—truly safe—enough to let his guard down.
A few months ago, living with Charlie while on the run from Daddy, he would have said it was impossible to ever feel safe again. The compound where he grew up taught him to be strong, to use his powers, but he never felt safe from that strength. If anything, being able to see the future had stolen away any illusions of having one.
Most of his visions were of violence and death, Daddy an ever looming presence in the background, determined to make all of their lives hell. Jeff was only here at this job because he was trying to prevent something horrible from happening. Yet somehow, he felt the safest now that he was working for the X-Hunter team.
The sound of the garage side door swinging open had Jeff ducking his head and leaning forward, his small secretive smile slipping away. His nostrils flared, able to scent the group’s pack leader even now, yards away. His gaze focused on the approaching shadow stretched across the green lawn, feeling Alan’s presence as he walked up behind him and leaned across the picnic table, propped on his elbows beside him.
Jeff inhaled deeply, eyes closing as a wave of heat hit him. Alan’s scent was a mix of minty toothpaste, watermelon sunscreen, and the underlying warm, spicy scent that was all Alan. It was soothing, yes, but also exciting, this confusing push and pull that had his stomach tight and mood irritable lately.
It didn’t help that Alan was so close, only inches away, head dangerously near his crotch. Jeff swallowed, willing himself not to run even though running away seemed like the right answer. Especially if Alan chased after him.
This close, surely Alan could smell him too.
Jeff stole a glance at the top of Alan’s head and wide shoulders when the man didn’t speak. It was unlike him, Alan usually filling in Jeff’s awkward silences with a confident stream of conversation. From his angle above, Jeff could just make out the lashes hiding Alan’s dark eyes, his eyebrows drawn down in a thoughtful expression, full lips pursed. It took everything to not reach over and see if the older man’s dark hair was as soft as it looked.
Jeff was very good at keeping his hands to himself after years of discovering horrors when his powers got involved. Alan, on the other hand, didn’t have the same restraint, and he didn’t seem interested in learning it.
It was the key to Jeff’s new feelings of safety, and he still couldn’t untangle what it meant.
Alan pushed himself off the table with a quiet huff, his default warm smile in place as he reached for Jeff. “You’re doing great, kiddo. That’s the fastest I’ve seen that car hit.”
Jeff was silent, his eyes downcast as Alan’s growingly familiar hand gripped his shoulder, lingering too long, touch too confident even after Jeff had specifically warned Alan that it could trigger his power.
“You added a real advantage today.” Alan’s hand squeezed his shoulder possessively, and Jeff held his breath, tongue pressing to his teeth.
If he stayed quiet, would Alan just pull him close, into his strong arms that had seen more than a few brawls? Would his mechanic rough hands drag over him as possessively as the confusing touch on his shoulder? Would he finally kiss him, instead of staring at his mouth not kissing him?
For the thousandth time, Jeff wondered just what they were doing. Alan liked him—everyone knew he liked Jeff—but he refused to make a move.
“We’re lucky to have you, Jeff. I hope you get that.” Alan’s voice was full of genuine praise, something that seemed to come so naturally for him, and Jeff couldn’t help but be effected.
He kept his expression schooled, not wanting to show his boss just how proud he felt to know he was helping the team. He had no interest in ever getting behind the wheel of a racecar, having had too many visions of them crashing and burning, but if he could help Charlie and Babe, and this very annoying boss of his who couldn’t flirt or make a move to save his life, it was worth the extra effort and time away from his studies.
Alan, unphased by his silence, stepped around the picnic table, his head tilting in search of Jeff’s elusive gaze. Jeff glanced his way hesitantly as Alan’s hand moved up his shoulder, goosebumps tingling. Heat flared when his large hand settled at the nape of his neck, Alan’s grip just as possessive as before.
It did something to him every time, and Jeff had to look away from the older man’s intense gaze, certain he must know.
Maybe Alan didn’t need to know how to flirt. Maybe whatever it was his hands were doing was clear enough. It definitely felt flirtatious.
“I was thinking of getting dinner. You know, to celebrate the new speeds you hit.” Alan’s hand squeezed the back of his neck, his fingers digging carefully into his muscles.
Jeff knew it was supposed to relax him, but each touch wound him tighter, the tension in his body feeling like he was going to snap the longer Alan’s hand was on his neck.
He should say something. Call him out for hitting on someone nearly half his age, who was also his employee. He should probably push him away and tell him to stop touching him. Maybe demand he kiss him and see just what the hell Alan wanted…
Instead, Jeff pressed back into the touch, his eyes closing when Alan’s grip tightened and pulled him closer. Damn, he wanted a kiss.
“Where should we eat, kiddo?” Alan asked, his voice lower than normal, sounding like pure sex.
Jeff fleetingly wondered what Alan was thinking about when staring at him, waiting for him to talk. Cars, maybe. Very fast cars driven by hot guys. Jeff licked his lips. Or maybe the mechanic who worked on said cars to help them reach top speeds.
What if he never said anything at all? Just how long would it take before Alan actually made a move?
Too long. Fucking forever.
Jeff’s lips twitched into a frown. As confident as his touch was, Alan kept treating him like a kid moments from breaking.
“Will the others be there?” Jeff finally asked, feeling spiteful. He dared a glance at Alan’s face to see how he’d react.
The silence stretched, Alan’s brow furrowed as his thumb swept unconsciously along the bumps of Jeff’s spine.
“I’m sure the team would love to come along,” Alan finally said, Jeff quick to turn his head away when dark eyes looked at him.
It was the wrong answer, again, and Jeff fought a frustrated sigh. Alan should know he liked the quiet, and didn’t want to be shouting over each other while eating. He should know that, well, he liked him. It’s not like he let just anyone touch him, never mind the way he let Alan touch him.
It might also be sweet, in the annoying way that was Alan, where he could make heat tingle through every inch of him at the simplest of touches, and still want to make sure he didn’t feel pressured. Alan was always going to be safe.
Jeff swallowed hard, eyelids heavy, as Alan squeezed the nape of his neck again.
Mostly safe.
Somewhere in the hot press of flesh to his neck, Jeff felt something rise in him, visions swarming him from all sides in the dark behind his eyelids. He gasped as a noise reached his ear, sounding like his own voice but lower, rough, gasping for air.
A hand slid down his throat, feeling so much like Alan’s, Jeff wasn’t sure if it was a vision or actually happening. Another slid under the hem of his shirt, confident yet cautious, as if touching glass. It was definitely Alan’s hand, his rough palms burning a hot trail up his taut abs and heaving chest. Fingers teased along his lips and Jeff gasped and fell back into blinding sunshine, only to be saved by Alan’s steady hand still holding him at the nape.
“Okay, kiddo?” Alan asked, his free hand grabbing Jeff by the arm to keep him from falling back in a quivering heap on the table.
Jeff scrambled to get away, his face burning hot, which he tried to hide behind his long bangs. “I’ve, uh, I gotta… Hell,” he whimpered as more sensations suddenly hit, hands running down his sides—hot, possessive, and intent on getting his pants off. Jeff’s dick twitched in appreciation, and he quickly grasped Alan’s hand holding his arm and twisted at his fingers to pull it away.
“I gotta go,” he rushed out, his words blurring together. Jeff pushed off the table, forgetting how he was positioned, and promptly tripped over the seat. Alan’s arm wrapped around his chest like a steel bar, keeping him from hitting the ground face first. In an easy move, he pulled Jeff up until his side was tight against the taller man’s hip.
Oh, he was strong. Really strong. Jeff could feel the muscles ripple in Alan as he held him up, and the vision of before flooded back in, of hands running along his sides and pulling at his waistband, all with Alan’s scent thick around him. Oh hell.
“What’s wrong?” Alan asked, holding Jeff too close, the heat of him everywhere. “Are you sick… Scared?”
Jeff swallowed down the very stupid words he wanted to say in response. What would Alan honestly do if he told him? Get him a band-aid for his hard on?
Jeff could feel Alan’s stare on his face, and it only made him blush harder. He tried to squirm free of the arm wrapped around his chest to no avail. Why was he so damn strong?!
“How about some herbal tea? You can take the rest of the day off.”
Jeff would have laughed at the absurdity, but he was too frustrated to truly find it funny. “I’m not sick. It’s just a…” Jeff felt himself frowning as the urge to tell the truth welled inside him. Damn this annoying man making everything feel crazy. “I saw something, that’s all,” he gritted out, angry at himself for even mentioning it.
“A vision?” Alan asked, concern weighting his voice. “Are you…?”
“I’m fine, I swear,” Jeff said quickly, not feeling fine at all. He was hard, Alan’s scent and heat was all around him, and the man was acting like he skinned his knee. The unfairness of it all was palpable.
“You’re trembling,” Alan said carefully, as if Jeff were about to explode. Maybe he was, the press of Alan’s body against his making him feel very explosive. “I think you need to lie down for a bit, kiddo.”
To be called a child once again by this frustrating man was the last straw. It was everything he couldn’t stand about their fucked up situation, and Jeff snapped his eyes open to glare. He found Alan staring at him, his boss’s favorite past time as of late, eyes glued on his mouth.
Whatever his vision was, it was a lie. Alan would never have the guts.
“Let go,” Jeff said through clenched teeth, his hand coming up to pull at Alan’s arm wrapped around him. The corded muscle of his bicep was electric under his fingers, making him wonder what it might taste like on his tongue.
Jeff pushed the thought aside, relieved when fresh air swept over him as Alan released him without resistance. The man really had no idea what he was doing to him.
Thinking only of escape, Jeff stomped toward the garage door, tripping on a divot in the grass he failed to see. He caught himself before he hit the ground, his face burning. He could feel the heat of Alan’s gaze watching even then. Damn it.
Jeff couldn’t trust talking in that moment, and made a point to avoid everyone as he moved around the edge of the foyer where they had an empty desk, and headed for the bathrooms. Once inside, he locked the door and thrust his hand into his now too tight pants, groaning when his fingers wrapped around his aching length.
Jeff closed his eyes and sighed loudly, back resting heavily on the door. His entire body felt tight and hot, like he didn’t quite fit in his skin. Worse, he could still see the flashes, still feel the hot touches behind the closed lids of his eyes, hearing the sounds of ragged breathing he was certain weren’t just his own.
He had never gotten a vision like this, not with a soundtrack and sensations. Usually it was something much further into the future and viewed from afar. This was different, more vivid and close. Intimate…
Soon.
He carefully extracted his hand from his pants, his mind racing. Why would it change like that? Why…?
Because of who was touching him at the time?
Or because of what he was thinking when touching him?
Jeff worried at his bottom lip with his teeth. He had been touching Alan, or more, Alan had been touching him when the visions came. It only made sense it was Alan who was in his vision.
Jeff exhaled shakily. It felt so real. It couldn’t have been a daydream, right, some fantasy hiding away in Alan’s far too polite head?
It hadn’t felt polite. Sure, Alan’s touches had been careful at first, but then his hands had gripped him so powerfully…
Jeff’s dick twitched again, and he pushed off the door, crossed the tiled floor, and turned the sink on so he could splash his face with cold water.
There was no way he could face the man, not after that. Jeff glared at his reflection, the ends of his hair dripping in water, cheeks too red. He was a mess, and he didn’t want anyone seeing it.
Alan did say he could have the rest of the day off…
Jeff splashed more water on his face, uncaring that it was dripping down his throat and onto his jumpsuit.
If his vision really was for a moment in the near future, he probably wouldn’t have to wonder too long, right? He’d know soon enough if Alan was finally going to make a move on him, or continue to daydream away.

It was after 9 at the diner, and it was packed. The shouts of restaurant goers and those there for the bar fought to compete with the old fashioned music blaring through the speakers. Alan had made sure to get the X-Hunter crew their favorite group of tables. He watched them all from his perch on a stool a bit aways, sipping on a soda while his crew quickly drank themselves silly. It was a good night with good friends, but the one college student on his mind was missing.
Something had happened today.
Alan still couldn’t figure out what, exactly, but he had a few suspicions, all surrounding the very strong sex scent Jeff had been giving off lately.
Alan had gone out to check in with Jeff, let him know about his improvements—the kid deserved to know how important he was there, something no other mechanic had been able to top, even with Beyond group’s increased hourly wage. Everything had seemed fine, a fine buzz of heat in the afternoon sun, until something had flashed in Jeff’s eyes like he was taken a million miles away.
Alan had been scared he had set him off, that Jeff’s sense had flared to life filled with visions of death and destruction…
Alan tipped his glass, catching a piece of ice between his teeth.
And then the kid had gasped.
It was the quietest of sounds, soft enough Alan had held his breath, everything going still when he caught it. He had watched, transfixed, as Jeff’s usually shuttered face flashed with raw emotion, his cheeks flushed red.
He had gasped again, the sound undeniable, right before arching back onto the table, the only thing keeping him upright the strength of Alan’s hand.
Alan bit through the piece of ice, his gaze unseeing, mind stuck in that moment of Jeff looking ravished, lost, and absolutely fuckable.
Jeff had confirmed it was a vision, which had guilt warring through Alan slightly stronger than lust. Because from what Jeff and Charlie had disclosed in their cautious way about their powers, visions were not fun for Jeff. They were nightmares of the future, all of them promising to come true in the cruelest of ways.
Jeff had experienced enough pain. All Alan wanted for the kid was a safe home, a good education, and people who cared about him beyond his special alpha powers. He wanted the X-Hunter crew, who were sometimes a gang, other times a pack, to be that family for Jeff, people he could put his trust in and have it returned in full.
Hence Alan’s dilemma. If he had triggered a vision in Jeff from just the touch of his hand, he had fucked up and possibly traumatized the kid who he was doing everything to protect.
Worse, even knowing this, all he could think about was how sexy Jeff looked gasping, head thrown back against his hand.
Alan caught another piece of ice out of his soda, wishing it could cool the fire burning in his veins since that afternoon.
Jeff was such a hard read. He had a million things going on in his head and nothing coming out of his mouth. The last time Alan had pushed, had tried to point out just how antisocial the kid was being after everyone thought he was sabotaging the cars, Jeff had taken off. It was when Alan realized whatever Jeff needed, he didn’t understand it enough to provide without risking him running away again.
Even though from the same upbringing, Jeff was the opposite of guys like Babe, who sought out adrenaline to deal with the trauma he was carrying, expressing every feeling outward because he couldn’t hold it in. If Jeff had an outlet, it was internal, his brain seeking some puzzle to solve or new strategy to use. Sure, it meant he was less likely to do something impulsively dangerous, but it also meant whatever Jeff was going to do, no one would have a clue until he had done it, and possibly ended up captured and stolen away as a result.
It was still dangerous, still self destructive, just in a completely different way Alan didn’t know how to predict.
The kid didn’t trust anyone enough, didn’t understand how the pack worked—how having friends kept them alive, not just socializing. He didn’t know how to reach out for help—if he could be convinced he needed help at all. It made everything very uncertain, from what Alan said to what he did. Something as simple as inviting the kid out had become a thing because Jeff wouldn’t speak up and say what he needed, no matter how much space Alan gave him.
He wanted to say something, but the last time, that had gone to shit. He wanted to do something, but then, he had no idea if that wouldn’t be an even worse idea. Jeff’s father had twisted the norms of affection into something domineering and painful: he had no idea how Jeff perceived normal interactions after that. He couldn’t even handle a simple touch most days.
Alan was giving Jeff as much time and space as he needed, but he wasn’t blind to how that was also managing to fall apart the longer it went wrong.
Maybe he needed to do something special for him. He was slipping away right in front of him. Maybe another movie reference…
His pocket vibrated, and Alan pulled his phone out, quickly thumbing to the security app that let him know if anyone was messing with the garage when he was out. It was Jeff, and Alan found swallowing suddenly difficult.
Of course the kid would finish his work after hours. Jeff was still trying to earn his keep long after already earning it.
Alan scowled, his eyes trained on Jeff’s back as he hooked his laptop up and set it on top of the car he was working on.
Jeff was brilliant, obviously so, yet never seemed to hear it whenever Alan said so. He treated the new speeds he achieved as expected, not as amazing accomplishments, something Alan suspected had to do with his messed up childhood.
Jeff’s adoptive father had hurt him, to the point he never seemed comfortable unless alone. He didn’t know he was good company, quiet and focused when listening, and sweet and sharp witted when opening up. Jeff didn’t hold expectations on who he was around, and it was felt, making him easy to be near. That he was a view Alan found he too quickly missed had become a growing problem, one that led him to trail the young man when Jeff wandered the garage in his free time.
Wanting to fuck the quiet college student senseless seemed incidental after the long list of things Alan wanted for Jeff, but it certainly made things more difficult, if not a bit confusing.
He was pretty sure he couldn’t be both. Jeff needed a support in his life, someone who would always be there for him. Sex would just turn something stable into an emotional mess for the kid, no matter how much they’d enjoy it.
This wasn’t like him. Indecision was for people with far easier lives, not the man who decided life and death choices for his racers every day. Yet…
Alan stared moodily at his phone tapped into the camera feed pointed at the car Jeff was tuning. He was only half in his mechanic gear, the upper half of his long-sleeve jumpsuit pushed from his arms and torso to hang off his belt, exposing his sleeveless T-shirt, black like the majority of the student’s goth-grunge wardrobe.
Something about Jeff half-stripped while fully dressed was very sexy to him. Maybe because Jeff was always in bulky layers, as if scared anyone might see his body beneath, the same way he hated to talk about himself as if someone might see him in other ways as well.
He was painfully shy at times, like that afternoon when he ran after Alan kept him from falling off the table. Jeff’s face had been flushed, his expression a mix of anger and fluster to the point of adorable.
Alan had wanted to give the kid something proper to be flustered about in that moment, but he wasn’t sure if he wouldn’t get slugged for trying.
Alan smirked, remembering Jeff’s dark eyes half hidden beneath his fluffy bangs, his cheeks red, normal pout parted in a gasp…
A kiss from Jeff would be worth more than a few punches to the face.
“Uncle, you’re not drinking!” North cried above the clatter of the diner. His hand clapped on Alan’s shoulder, a warning to tuck his phone away before his well-meaning, pain in the ass crew tried to sort his love life out for him.
“You know I can’t drink when all of you do,” Alan reminded, turning his easy smile at North, who was leaning hard on the table for support. “Who would drive you home, hmm?”
North snickered, failing to hide his smile behind his hand. “You’re such a dad, Uncle.”
Alan blinked at that, bemused at the very idea. “Drink some water,” he said after a pause, annoyed that it did, in fact, sound rather fatherly.
Sonic came over, heaving at North’s broad shoulders until he had his drunk friend properly upright. “Leave Uncle alone, North. You know he’s pining over Jeff.” Sonic made an exaggerated kissy face with his pouty lips, North cackling in response.
Ah, there would be no reprieve from the meddling. Alan considered getting a drink when Sonic grabbed a chair to sit next to him, then remembered the phone still palmed in his hand. He wanted to be sober to make sure Jeff didn’t stay up too late.
Shit, he really did sound like a dad.
“What?” Alan demanded when Sonic leaned in too close to read his eyes.
“Uncle, you act old,” Sonic declared.
Alan’s grin turned sharp, and he pushed a finger at Sonic’s forehead. “Don’t think I won’t drop you, kid.”
“Kid?!” North squawked, Sonic joining in to laugh. “Uncle, we drink more than you!”
Alan had apparently said something funny again. He wasn’t sure why these two always found him to be a riot, but he had an annoying suspicion Jeff, who was younger than them, was also hiding a smile after similar moments.
“If you’re done making me feel ancient…” Alan pushed his chair back, very ready to be done with reminders that he wasn’t twenty anymore. He was only a handful of years older than Babe and Way, but you’d swear he was being chased by the grim reaper with the way they all talked.
Sonic wasn’t done with him, turning to fix his intense glare back on Alan, this time with an accusing finger pointed right at him. “Stop being a coward. I’ve seen you jump in and throw a punch against a gun without flinching—we all know you’re the bravest, Uncle. So quit being scared of Jeff. It’s super annoying.”
Alan didn’t know what to say to that. “I’m not scared of Jeff,” he finally decided, certain it was true.
Sonic shook his head, exchanging a knowing, if not tipsy, look with North. “You are. It’s normal to be. I bet you can’t even remember the last time you felt this way.”
Alan rolled his eyes. “For fuck sake, I’m not even forty.”
Sonic pursed his lips. “You know what we mean. You’re missing a sure thing because you’re scared of how you feel. You think too much!” Sonic reached over to wag his finger tipped in a neon yellow nail in Alan’s face. “Quit it!”
Well.
Alan frowned and grabbed his cup to spill a few more ice cubes into his mouth. “I’m leaving.”
“Uncle!”
Alan paused, noticing concern flash in Sonic’s eyes. The young man had a habit of being too nosy sometimes, but Alan would never let him feel bad about it. Family was allowed to be nosy.
“Call me if anyone needs a ride. Especially you,” he added, poking Sonic on the forehead in passing. The smile he received was forgiveness enough, and Alan headed for the door, phone tight in his hand.

Jeff wasn’t surprised when the quiet of the empty garage was broken by the sounds of footsteps. Some part of him had come to expect it, that if he waited long enough in the garage, Alan would come find him.
He frowned down at the open car door he was posed at, hands braced on each side of the door frame. Had he really come here to work during the most peaceful time of the garage, or had he been hoping Alan would be there? That he didn’t know bothered him.
“I told you to take the day off,” Alan said as he came into view, walking down the line of parked racecars. “That wasn’t an invitation to work all night, kiddo.”
Frustrated by the kiddo once again designating him as a child and nothing more to Alan, Jeff stayed quiet. Glancing to the side, he found Alan’s normally bright smile wan. The older man had stopped feet away, as if afraid to touch him.
Jeff sighed quietly, looking back down into the dark of the car illuminated by his laptop. He shouldn’t have told Alan it was a vision. The man was probably terrified he was going to set him off again. Damn it.
“How are you feeling?” Alan asked as the silence stretched between them. “You seem less… shaken.”
Alan asked too many difficult questions. If he asked him about the car, Jeff could list off his diagnosis, theory, and plans with ease. Knowing how he felt was much harder, mostly because he had spent a lifetime locking those feelings away.
“Hey, I’m sorry about earlier,” Alan said, softer than before, taking a step closer. “I didn’t realize it would set of your sense. I think I assumed that could only happen when your hands touched someone.”
It was very much exactly how his sense normally worked, but Jeff had no idea how he could explain that to Alan without describing exactly how that afternoon had been so different.
He was going to have to tell him something, though, or Alan was only going to hover from a distance with his tantalizing scent, something Jeff couldn’t bear after growing used to the feel of his hands on him.
Jeff licked his lips and pushed off the door frame so he could close the car door. “It wasn’t, uh, a normal vision,” Jeff started haltingly, his voice feeling unused after the quiet of the garage.
“Not normal how?” Alan came up beside him with another difficult question that had Jeff falling silent.
He kept his head bowed as he thought, moving so he was leaning back against the door of the car. “No one died,” Jeff offered with a wry smile. “No one was maimed. Not a drop of blood at all.”
“Hmm.” Alan moved to the car beside him, his back unusually straight, tension tight in his shoulders. “Were you scared?” he finally asked.
Jeff blinked, his gaze flickering toward the man a moment, then away. “Let’s say surprised,” he said after a beat, turning to lean his head against the window, studying Alan openly. “Confused. Maybe a little shocked to have my sense do something new. Not scared, though.”
Alan sank against the car with a heavy sigh. “Thank fuck.”
“Were you scared?” Jeff asked, genuinely curious. He hadn’t expected Alan to be afraid. But then, he didn’t think anything shook the man.
Alan nodded, his palm rising to push his dark hair from his face. “Thought I might have broken you, kid. All because I didn’t understand how your sense worked.”
Jeff frowned, realizing things had not gone back to normal with his explanation, and Alan was no closer to reaching his hand to touch his arm. “It wasn’t scary,” he pressed, trying to read Alan’s dark eyes hidden by long lashes. “I, uh, didn’t mind.”
Jeff pursed his lips, unable to voice how he really felt about the intense feelings that had hit him, amplified through his sense.
“You were shaking like a leaf,” Alan reminded quietly.
Jeff couldn’t begin to explain that there were some very nice things that could leave a person shaking, especially since he was fairly certain Alan knew all about that at his age.
Sighing, Jeff turned toward the car, crossing his arms and resting them on the roof, chin propped on his wrist as he blew his hair from his eyes. “I wasn’t scared,” he said flatly, unsure if anything was going to get through. Alan just got so protective at times, and he never knew how to get around it.
“Okay.” Alan didn’t move and Jeff was losing patience. “Are you willing to tell me what you saw?” Alan asked tentatively.
Jeff’s lips twitched into a self deprecating smile and he ducked his head under his arms. “Fuck no.”
“Right.” Sighing, hands twitching safely at his sides, Alan looked up at the metal supports crisscrossing the garage ceiling.
Jeff tilted his head, an idea forming. Keeping his expression as bored as possible, he turned his head toward Alan, stealing a long glance of the beautiful man while his face was turned away. He was in street clothes, probably dressed up for the diner, looking crisp and a little dewy in the lingering summer heat.
Jeff licked his lips, trying to gain his courage. “Do you think it might happen again?” he asked, hoping to keep his tone innocent. “It never happened before.”
Alan blinked at that, his head lowering as he pushed off the car. “That’s true. Maybe it was a fluke?”
“Maybe,” Jeff echoed, not sure he wanted it to be, but definitely sure he wanted Alan to touch him to find out.
“Do you think… Was it because of where I touched you, maybe?” Alan asked, leaning near, his arm pressed against the car as he came close to Jeff’s side. “Your shoulder?” He reached carefully, fingers ghosting near but not making contact.
“My neck,” Jeff corrected quietly, anticipation growing the closer Alan got. He could smell his unique, warm scent, and Jeff’s eyelids grew heavy as he pressed the side of his face against the edge of the car roof. “The back of my neck.”
He hadn’t quite realized he was offering himself up until he sensed Alan at his back, fingers tugging at the collar of his shirt to let him see the back of his neck better.
“You’ll tell me if it’s…”
“Mmm,” Jeff agreed, his eyes half closed.
“I’m serious,” Alan insisted. “I don’t want to, you know…” he trailed off, sounding annoyingly nervous all of a sudden.
“Stop being weird,” Jeff bit out after Alan tugged at the back of his shirt again.
Alan chuckled harshly. “I was not the one being weird this afternoon, kiddo.”
Jeff ducked his head to hide his suddenly hot face. That wasn’t fair at all—Alan’s weirdness of insisting on touching him had been driving him mad… but it also wasn’t incorrect.
A cautious finger poked at the back of his neck, touching him like a strange growth had appeared. Jeff fought a growl. “Alan!”
“You’re so easy,” Alan snickered, his breath washing over the back of his neck, standing the fine hairs there on end. “It was just a weird fluke. I’ll show you.” With that, he placed his palm against Jeff’s nape, gently cupping his fingers to his flesh.
Jeff stilled under the touch, eyes lowering as he sought the strange sense that had come over him earlier that day.
“See?” Alan leaned down to find his ducked face. “Nothing. A fluke.”
Jeff nodded, troubled when he realized it was true. The sense was gone.
He turned his head to rest his cheek on the car, Alan’s concerned gaze coming into view. Maybe it had changed? Maybe whatever future that sense belonged to had disappeared?
Jeff exhaled noisily through his nose at the thought, his lips pursing into a frown. He really did have the worst luck.
Alan’s hand lingered at his nape, his touch still too hesitant and unlike him. It wasn’t the confident possession of before, and Jeff cracked an eye open to glare at the man. “You’re holding back.”
“Hmph.” Alan’s smile broke free, shining brilliant at the invitation. He squeezed the back of Jeff’s neck, his thumb caressing down the side. “I’m just trying to be careful with your sense, is all.”
“Harder,” Jeff huffed, feeling petulant and not caring. The first time his sense actually did something he liked, and it was only a one time thing. It was total bullshit.
“Are you sure it wasn’t your shoulder?” Alan asked as he kneaded strong fingers into the muscles of his neck. Jeff didn’t bother answering, a growl rumbling in his chest he fought to keep contained. Normally this would have felt amazing—it still felt amazing—but it only had him realizing that even week after week of this cat and mouse game, the hottest thing he was going to get out of Alan was a one handed neck massage.
He was starting to understand why Charlie called Babe a pushy bottom. It might be the only way to get anything out of certain obnoxiously restrained men.
Jeff tried to push off the car, frowning when Alan’s grip wouldn’t let him get far. He turned to find the man watching him too closely, aware that Alan could see every bit of annoyance telegraphed on him.
Why did he have to look so damn self satisfied to be touching him, when the man never actually did anything with him? It was infuriating.
“It didn’t work,” Jeff said, trying to pull from the hand on his neck.
“Not yet,” Alan agreed, pulling him tighter to where he was leaning on the car.
“It’s not going to work.” Jeff reached for the hand at his nape, grunting when Alan pulled him roughly to the side, his hip hitting the car from the force of the possessive grip. It felt amazing, and Jeff hated everything.
“How can you be sure?” Alan peered down into Jeff’s glittering black eyes, his thumb rubbing gentle circles along his spine.
Because you’re never going to kiss me, Jeff thought furiously. Because in the midst of the hottest vision of my life, you didn’t know what to do with me. Because even now, you stare at me like you want to fuck me, but you won’t do more than touch my damn neck!
“You’re tense, kiddo,” Alan murmured, his fingers pulling at the muscles of his neck in complete obliviousness to Jeff’s thoughts. “Whatever this new sense thing is, it’s rough on you.”
Exhaling heavily in defeat, Jeff just nodded and let himself be pulled in closer to Alan and his maddening touch.

Once Alan was content that his sense wasn’t going to come back, they worked on the car for a while, Jeff showing him the improvements he was hoping to complete by next week.
When they were done, Jeff felt gritty and tired. The day had been full of too much emotion for him to be able to process without a night’s sleep. Alan had gone off to check the locks a final round before he drove him home. Jeff was left to put away the rest of the tools and pack up his laptop. Giving his station a final assessing gaze, Jeff turned to grab the rag he had left on top of the car.
“You’re tired,” Alan noted as he came up behind him, managing to look pristine in his stain-free clothes even after peering under the hood of the car that night.
“Mm,” Jeff agreed, his breath hitching quietly as fingers brushed against the side of his neck. Alan had been relentless earlier, rubbing his neck from every angle, but nothing had happened beyond Jeff feeling frustrated with unfulfilled lust, and Alan oblivious to the madness he was growing in him.
“Hungry?” Alan asked, his hand growing bold as he settled on Jeff’s neck and squeezed. “We can stop somewhere… Kid?” He paused as Jeff jolted and stilled in his hold.
Jeff’s senses burned at the touch of fingers on his chest, breath panting against his cheek, hands slid down in firm touches. Images and sensations rushed through his mind like a river, freezing his breath in his chest. It was the same as before, feeling even closer than last time, a hand sliding hot down his throat and chest while another pushed his shirt up.
He was back, that damn phantom Alan, willing to do all the things his frustratingly nice Alan wouldn’t.
Heaving a breath in did nothing for the fire burning through him, making his mind feel like mush. He needed to feel it, then surely this madness would stop. It was just a touch…
The hand at his nape was still, and Jeff reached for it shakily, turning in the hold and tugging until Alan’s fingers uncoiled.
“Are you o…?” Alan’s question faltered on his lips as Jeff pulled his hand down along the smooth column of his throat, dragging Alan’s fingers across his flesh, leading him to his collar.
Alan watched his hand as if it were disconnected from him as his fingers spread wide, pulling a gasp from Jeff when he rubbed his thumb along the sharp edge of his collarbone and pressed against the fluttering hollow of his throat.
It wasn’t enough, Jeff exhaling roughly as he pulled Alan’s hand lower, urging him to slide down his chest. The man’s fingers flexed across his soft T-shirt, palm pressing against his pectoral to rub deep into the tight muscles.
The burning thrum moving in rhythm with Jeff’s pulse was too loud, too desperate to let his trickle of embarrassment through at the thought of trapping Alan’s hand in his. He twined his hand along the back of Alan’s, urging it down to follow the path of the hand in his vision, down the ripple of his abs to touch beneath the hem of his shirt.
“Don’t,” Jeff whimpered when Alan’s hand broke from his. But instead of pulling away, Alan pushed up his T-shirt, his fingers cautious as he explored the rivulets of sweat that were dripping down Jeff’s taut torso. Jeff wasn’t sure if it was real or the vision. His breath coming out in fast puffs, he kept his eyes shut, afraid he might wake up alone if he foolishly opened them.
“Jeff.” Alan’s voice was husky, his breath moving a hot trail over his neck as his free hand gripped Jeff beneath the chin to gently angle his face back. “Look at me.”
A fresh wave of sensations hit him, and Jeff arched his back with a cry under the palm pressing up his flat stomach. The visions hit too fast, too hot, a wet mouth trailing along his chest, his nipples, sucking at his skin where fingers had led, tongue sliding and teeth nipping at his slick flesh.
Unsure if he was shaking from the visions or what Alan’s hands were doing, Jeff tried to pull away, too lost in it all to think clearly. His palm found the car behind him, and he reached for it unsteadily.
“Wait.” Alan caught Jeff’s arms and pulled him hard against his body, wrapping him in his muscular embrace. Jeff moaned in the unyielding hold, feeling a hardness burning against his hip as Alan held him still. It was both suffocating and grounding, Alan’s strong form and warm scent buffering him against the visions in his mind.
Jeff swallowed down the saliva suddenly wetting his mouth, wondering when Alan had gotten hard, if it was really for him. He tugged uselessly at his trapped arms, head tilting to press to the taller man’s chest. His lips parted in a groan as the shifting of their bodies had Alan’s hard length jolting against him again.
“Talk to me, kiddo.” Alan’s voice was a dark rumble that sent hot tingles through him. “I don’t… I don’t know what you want when you don’t speak.”
Jeff was pretty sure he didn’t have to say a damn word for Alan to know what he wanted, the man just intentionally obstinate. He turned his head fully, kissing the closest spot on Alan he could find, getting a mouthful of his now rumpled shirt he tried to tug away with his teeth. When it didn’t work, he licked his tongue out, wetting the material, hoping to catch a taste of Alan’s flesh beneath.
“Jeff… wait.” Alan released his arms, moving as if to put space between them, but Jeff felt him pause when his hand touched the cool strands of his hair and pushed them back to find his flushed face. “Kiddo, you gotta snap out of it. Talk to me.”
Jeff couldn’t, even if he wanted to—and he definitely didn’t want to. His tongue was too busy trying to lick a path up Alan’s chest, and he couldn’t stop hyper fixating on the hard member burning against him. He found a bare patch of skin at the edge of the man’s collar, and Jeff leaned up, tongue finally sliding over smooth skin. Alan’s breath hitched at the hot touch, and Jeff couldn’t help but feel powerful.
Alan’s hands were painfully motionless, but he was still wrapped around him, still trying to hold him in place as if the feelings that they’d been repressing for what felt like forever were magically going to stop. Jeff really needed him to move like the Alan in his vision.
At least he wasn’t trying to make him talk, Alan newly quiet from the touch of Jeff’s lips on his throat. He couldn’t reach as much as he wanted, and when Jeff tried to get higher to taste the bobbing Adam’s apple waiting to be licked, Alan’s hands stopped him, holding him in place.
“Just hold on,” Alan said shakily, a note of confusion in his voice. His hand holding Jeff’s bare arm turned, gripping him close even as he kept his neck out of reach.
Jeff was suddenly overly aware of how quickly Alan was breathing. There was a tension to the man’s body that felt moments from snapping. He could feel it in his own muscles, every shallow, ragged breath they took rocking them together. It was dizzying, heady.
Heat rose through him, and Jeff groaned into Alan’s shirt front as another vision crashed over him, the force sending them stumbling back, Alan pinning Jeff to the side of the car. Jeff gripped Alan hard, worried he was going to be lost in the moment his sense was revealing.
They were entwined, Jeff’s hands twisted in the dark strands of Alan’s hair, sweat dripping down the bridge of the man’s nose. He was kissing along Jeff’s bare hip, down his thigh, every soft touch teasing against the pull of Jeff’s hands desperately leading him to his aching cock.
“Alan,” Jeff gasped, gripping at the man’s shirt, twisting the material in his hands as he panted. “Is… Is this happening?”
He could trust him. As annoying as the man could be at times, he could always trust Alan. “I… I can’t tell what’s real,” Jeff whimpered.

“Real?” Alan echoed hazily, trying to understand the question. His senses felt buzzed with too much, Jeff’s scent a cloud around him, his skin tingling raw from the grip on his shirtfront, the sounds of the boy maddening. It was taking everything to not seek him out, not lick and nip every inch he could find of him. And it wasn’t like the quiet college student was making anything easy on him at the moment, insisting on being horny, hard, and licking at his shirt with soft moans.
None of it felt real even though it was.
“You’re right here, kiddo. Everything is real,” Alan said, his voice sounding rough in his ears.
Jeff shook his head, his soft hair teasing over his forehead and cheeks. “There are too many hands. I can’t tell which… which are real.”
Alan blinked, eyes tracking where their hands were. “I see the normal amount of hands.”
Jeff inhaled sharply. “Where?”
Considering a moment, Alan carefully pulled Jeff’s fingers from their death grip on his shirt, then entwined their fingers together. “Right here.” He squeezed both hands firmly, not blind to the relieved tremor in Jeff’s digits.
“And your mouth?” Jeff asked hoarsely, his head tilting back.
His mouth? Alan studied Jeff’s face, tracking each breath as he thought. Just where, exactly, did Jeff think his mouth was?
“Alan?” Jeff tightened his grip on his hands when he didn’t answer. “Where?”
Dipping close, Alan pressed a chaste kiss to Jeff’s cheek. “Right here,” he murmured against his flesh. “No extra mouths.”
Jeff nodded shakily at that, and let his head fall forward against Alan’s chest. “Are you… Are you sure?” he whimpered, his breath increasing quickly. “I can feel… Fuck!” he gasped out, his hips jerking.
The sight of Jeff’s slender form writhing was too much to contain, and Alan pressed forward, burying his face into silky hair.
“What are you feeling?” Alan wasn’t sure he could pull away, even though he was certain he should. Jeff was breathing like he had just run a marathon, smelled of pure sex, and was clinging to him like he was the only reason he was standing.
“Can’t,” Jeff panted out, his eyes closed, lost in a world in his head.
“It’s okay.” Hesitantly, Alan pressed another soft kiss to Jeff’s cheek, lingering longer this time and breathing deep. He wanted to bridge the distance and taste his lips, just once.
“It’s… It’s embarrassing,” Jeff whispered, his hands pulling free, one to push at Alan’s shoulders, the other to lace fingers into the man’s dark hair.
“What’s so embarrassing about hands?” Alan asked quietly, “And mouths… and me?” Jeff whimpered, his hips jolting. Alan hissed as the hand in his hair twisted roughly, pulling him back. He could feel the heat rise off Jeff’s skin from his blush.
“It’s not like I made the visions,” Jeff muttered weakly. “They’re just, you know, there. Blame the other Alan.”
The urge to catch those wet lips with his own was overpowering. Alan panted against the hold on his hair, his hand coming up to gently press to Jeff’s chin. “Look at me.”
Jeff turned his face away with a huff against Alan’s palm, his blush reaching down to his neck. “Don’t be crazy.”
Alan grinned despite himself. This painfully shy, gorgeous kid, who didn’t even have the nerve to look at him, was driving him very, very crazy. It was everything he’d been fighting since Jeff had pushed his way into his business and refused to even touch his hand. With his fingers pulling at his hair while Jeff gasped for breath, Alan felt at his breaking point. He knew he was wrapped around Jeff’s trembling fingers, and it was maddening and everything he could ever want.
“What do you let “other Alan” do, if you won’t even look at me?” Alan slid his hand along the length of Jeff’s jaw, tracing a slow line toward his ear. “I won’t tease you.”
Alan wasn’t fully sure that he wouldn’t, Jeff too sweet and tempting when hiding from him like this. But he could at least try to not embarrass him.
“Uh, well… other Alan just…” Biting his lower lip, Jeff tilted his head back, his throat exposed, the blush from his face threatening to meet the red flush rising up his chest. Jeff tugged at Alan’s hair, drawing him down, closer until his nose was pressed to his neck and he could feel the flutter of his pulse racing beneath his skin.
It took everything to not kiss and lick that beautiful expanse of flesh offered up to him.
“Jeff, you need to talk to me,” Alan said more roughly than he meant to, the moisture of his breath bouncing back onto his face from how close Jeff was holding him there.
“Just…” Jeff tried to pull him closer by the hair, his movements growing desperate when Alan refused to close the gap. “Please… I need…”
“Need?” Heat poured through every inch of Alan. He was hyper aware of their position, each burning spot where their bodies met, and those damn teasing fingers twisting his locks to get him closer.
Letting his own fingers push Jeff’s hair from his face, he stared down to watch every wet lick to his already very wet lips. He held his breath, sliding his thumb along Jeff’s parted lips, hearing him hitch his breath in response.
“What do you need, kiddo?” Alan was pretty sure he’d give him anything, if he only asked.
Jeff’s nostrils flared and he growled. His eyes snapped open to glare at Alan. “Stop calling me that!” He froze when their eyes met, seeing something in Alan’s molten gaze that made him swallow hard. Jeff noticed his hand was tangled in Alan’s hair and weakly let go. “S-Sorry.”
Alan caught Jeff’s hand and pulled it to his mouth, kissing along his knuckles as the boy panted and looked down, this time with eyes open to study just what his vision had gotten him into.
Jeff was practically splayed out on the car, Alan’s larger form nearly pinning him. For as much as Alan was too close, too hot, vibrating with restrained desire, it was only his burning mouth on his hand, fingers sliding to the back of his head, hip dangerously tight against his waist, and thigh touching the outer edge of his hip. He could move if he wanted to, slip the other’s grip, but Jeff stayed where he was, eyes slowly raising back up to meet Alan’s.
Alan slid his mouth along his palm, feeling every gasp in breath echoed on Jeff’s face, unwilling to look away now that he had finally found his gaze.
“I’ll give you anything you need,” Alan emphasized to let him know what it meant to him. “You just have to tell me.” He slid his other hand to the nape of Jeff’s neck and gripped it possessively. Jeff’s lips parted in a silent moan from the sensation that had started all of this.
Eyes cloudy with want, Jeff stumbled over his words. “I… I can see it… But…” He swallowed hard when Alan’s eyes darkened at the revelation. “Just… I can’t s-say something like that.”
“Fuck,” Alan groaned, his eyes closing. He needed to keep it together and not do something that would lose him Jeff’s trust forever. It was just very difficult when the kid made being shy a damn turn on.
“Okay.” Alan opened his eyes to find Jeff staring at him with desperation on his rapt features. “You can’t say it. Show me.”
It was too much for Jeff and his knees gave way, hands grabbing at Alan’s shoulders as he tried to keep from sliding to the ground. Alan pulled him up, grasping him behind the thighs, the loose arms of his jumpsuit swinging as Jeff was pulled higher up his body and pressed back against the car. They both groaned when Alan’s hips pinned him in place and their matching hardnesses met for a mind stopping moment.
Alan watched as Jeff’s tongue licked out to slowly coat his lush lips. He wanted to be that tongue, and the way Jeff was breathing, he wanted that too.
“You see this… us?” Alan was certain it was true when Jeff turned his face away with a blush. He wouldn’t let him run, a hand rising to guide his face back, meeting Jeff’s quiet gaze. “Do you want this?” he asked softly.
He had to leave room for the possibility that Jeff was confused by the new visions, that his powers could make him feel things he didn’t actually feel. He was so shy, it was already impossible to know what he wanted most days.
Jeff’s pupils were wide in the dim of the garage as he considered him for a long moment. Raising two shaking fingers, Jeff pressed them to Alan’s lips, feeling his ragged breath against the digits. He slowly pulled them away, then pressed the same two fingers to his own throat.
“Here,” Jeff finally whispered, his lashes fluttering as he turned his head to the side to give Alan more room. “Your mouth…”
The kid was going to drive him insane.
Alan drifted closer, his lips seeking where Jeff’s fingers were resting on his throat. He brushed the hot flesh lightly, Jeff gasping at the touch and hand flying to the back of Alan’s neck.
“Please,” Jeff whimpered.
Alan met his throat with parted lips, laving his smooth flesh with his tongue, sucking soft pulls of his mouth against his slippery skin. He exhaled heavily, his other hand on the back of Jeff’s thigh moving up, fingers digging into the swell of his ass as he pulled him harder against him with a groan. Jeff’s fingers laced into his hair, pulling mindlessly as Alan opened his mouth wider and sucked along the column of his throat, leaving red welts to blossom with each rough touch. Alan groaned from a particularly sharp pull of his thick locks, his teeth scraping in retaliation. Jeff cried out from the pain, his back arching.
Alan pulled away, gazing into the boy’s dazed eyes. “Too hard?” he asked, eyes searching for each sign that Jeff was enjoying himself. It was difficult to look away, Alan wanting to see every reaction Jeff naturally tried to hide.
He grasped Jeff’s shoulder, rubbing the tense muscles, his thumb sliding into the trails of wet he had left on his skin, spreading it down below the curve of Jeff’s shirt. He pulled at the material, frustrated when the collar wouldn’t give enough. He quickly reached down between them, finding the edge of his shirt so he could push his top up, only to pause, seeking Jeff’s gaze for confirmation. He found him with eyes squeezed shut again, his chest heaving at the touch of Alan’s fingers under his shirt.
Jeff whimpered and grasped at Alan’s hair when he refused to continue. “Don’t stop,” he rasped out. “Please.”
Alan released a shaky breath, feeling more than a little mad as he pushed Jeff’s shirt up his tight abs, exposing smooth flesh and long lines of sweat to the air. He twisted the material of his shirt higher, pulling his collar down as he got the shirt above his chest, wrapping the shirt under his armpits to reveal as much of Jeff’s torso as he could. His hand moved up the pale expanse, exploring his muscles, and teasing over each hard edge.
Jeff whimpered at the whisper of touches, his back going rigid when Alan’s thumb barely brushed his nipple. “Alan… I need…”
“What?” Alan wanted to hear his voice, needed to know every dark, dirty thing Jeff was dreaming of. “My mouth?” He asked, watching Jeff’s tongue flick out at his words.
“Please,” Jeff whined, his hips rocking up. Alan quickly steadied him, knowing there was no way his fine restraint could handle the feel of Jeff thrusting against him for long.
“If you’re not going to tell me what he’s doing to you, I’m going to have to guess.” Alan ran his palm firmly down Jeff’s twitching abs, feeling every tension of muscle, stalling at his belly button, fingers teasing further beneath the clasp of Jeff’s pants. He wanted to tear his jumpsuit off, the zipper in the way, but Jeff was being stubbornly quiet again, lost in what some other Alan was doing, and it was hard to not take it a little personally.
Alan caught Jeff’s hand in his, turning to kiss along his palm, tongue sliding out to trace along the length of each finger. “Tell me what you want.”
Jeff’s eye cracked open, dazed and dark. “Stop asking,” he finally said, his head tilting back, eyelids heavy, lips glistening. “It’s you. A future you.” His lips twisted in a quiet smirk as he met Alan’s heated gaze. “Just do what you want. Everything you do is… is what I want.”
Something snapped in Alan at that, and before he could think, he surged forward, lips meeting Jeff’s in a crushing kiss. He grasped the nape of his neck with long fingers, refusing to let the boy escape, Jeff groaning into his open mouth with every rough, teeth scraping kiss.
When Jeff gasped to breathe, Alan pulled back just enough to dart his tongue forward and trace along his bruised red lips, licking them the way he’d been wanting to since first meeting him, slowly, thoroughly, stealing quick breaths between each touch. He grunted as Jeff’s fingers clawed at his back, tearing at his shirt, his hips grinding hard friction against his abs.
Alan wasn’t done with his mouth, having waited far too long to kiss him. He slid his fingers to Jeff’s jaw, urging him wider, holding him still as his tongue claimed every wet plane he could reach. Jeff’s hungry gasps were all he could hear, needy, desperate, and his. He pulled away with a wet sound, only to have Jeff whimper and follow, seeking his lips out again.
He caught the boy’s lower lip between his teeth, feeling his moan vibrate as he tilted his head back, his slick flesh slowly slipping away.
Jeff’s eyes fluttered open slowly. “Why couldn’t you have done that earlier today… or yesterday… or a week ago?” he asked huskily, a touch of betrayal in his eyes. “Why do you keep holding back?”
Alan leaned forward, fingers teasing along Jeff’s cheekbone as he kissed him again, softer, letting him melt closer and pull his hair until they were gasping. Jeff’s tongue was tentative for all his frustrations with him holding back, each jolting touch against his careful, as if afraid he might disappear.
The kid was the one with the habit of disappearing when things got too intense, and Alan hadn’t wanted to do anything to have him run away again. But how could he explain that to a 20 year old who kept acting like he was supposed to know everything he was thinking when he barely said a word?
When Jeff pulled away to breathe, Alan teased him close, eyes on his. “If you ask me for a kiss, you’ll get a kiss. As many as you want.” He slid his thumb along Jeff’s swollen lower lip, pulling it down gently, tongue sliding out to taste him once more. “You just have to tell me.”
Jeff’s eyes were dark pools staring at him, demanding something he refused to voice. Maybe he couldn’t, Alan thought fleetingly. Maybe whatever Jeff had been through meant he couldn’t ask for the things he wanted.
Alan’s fingertips kissed along Jeff’s parted lips, gaze fixed as Jeff’s expression contorted into one of torment.
“Where are you?” Alan asked, Jeff’s lashes flickering with every vision. “With him?”
Jeff’s smile had a bittersweet edge as he fixed on Alan’s eyes. “With you. Just… soon.” His hand slid along the side of Alan’s face, sparking trails of fire as he moved down his throat. His palm smoothed down to contour to his flesh as much as he could, feeling Alan swallow under his touch.
“Your mouth is really… really nice,” Jeff whispered with glistening flushed lips.
A dizzying, hot wave of raw lust washed over Alan that had him clutching to the car to keep upright. “Where’s my mouth on you?” He couldn’t hide his dark smirk when Jeff blushed at the question. “Show me.”
Jeff whimpered as his hips rocked up in answer. “Alan.”
A growl caught in Alan’s throat and he caught Jeff’s hand and pushed it between the hot crush of their bodies. “Where?” He pressed their hands to the arch of where Jeff’s ribcage ended. “Here?”
Jeff nodded weakly, his throat moving under his intense stare. “Sometimes.”
Alan had to close his eyes, blood roaring in his ears. He wanted to ask how many times, how many events Jeff was seeing, but was afraid the answer was only one. He had no clue what tomorrow would bring, if Jeff would even be there to ask, or have run as far away as possible.
Pushing the thoughts from his mind, Alan slid down Jeff’s form, his mouth descending over their fingers to lick between the digits to get to Jeff’s flesh. He kissed where his muscles jumped, his tongue sliding flat and wide to taste every spot he could reach. Jeff gasped beneath him when his teeth pinched on a taut span of unblemished skin. He quickly soothed it with his hot tongue, Jeff’s breath coming out in fast huffs as he came undone with every slick touch.
“Here?” Alan lifted higher to descend on Jeff’s nipple next, even as he pushed their twined hands lower down his body. Jeff moaned as he pulled the delicate bud into his mouth, dominating it with his tongue, teasing hot circles and mouthing suction until it was swollen and sore.
“Or here?” Alan pulled away from his nipple with swollen lips to watch Jeff’s reaction as he pushed their hands lower, pausing above his bellybutton.
“Lower,” Jeff croaked out, his face turning beet red.
Inhaling sharply, Alan slowly pulled Jeff’s hand down to his waistband, his fingers sliding beneath the edge of the material. “Here?”
Jeff groaned in frustration, his hair a silky halo around his flushed face. “You’re doing this on purpose. Can’t you just…?”
“I want to hear you say it,” Alan murmured, leaning his head up to kiss at Jeff’s throat.
“But you know what I want,” Jeff grumbled, his breath coming out in quick bursts when Alan’s teeth nipped at his bruised flesh. “It’s embarrassing to say.”
“It’s sexy,” Alan countered, sucking a small welt right above his collarbone. “You are sexy, and I want to hear the things you like… and want… and need,” he emphasized each word with a firm kiss to the length of his throat. “That way there’s no confusion.”
“But you know…” Jeff pushed their hands even lower, trapping them between the tight press of their hips and the hard flesh of his cock. “You’re… you’re very good,” he added barely above a whisper.
Hissing softly, Alan released his hand to tease a finger along the hidden length of Jeff’s dick. “I’m good at what?” he insisted, his other hand quick to grab Jeff’s hip when he tried to rock up for more friction. He met the boy’s heated gaze, watching lust and resistance war within him the longer he waited.
“Well… maybe I don’t know what you’re good at,” Jeff finally said, his voice too innocent to be trusted. “I know what other Alan is good at—oh!” he gasped as Alan pulled him off the car and up his body, Jeff’s legs wrapping around his waist automatically for purchase. Alan’s arm coiled tight around his back while his hand pulled him close by the jaw, his lips crushing against his punishingly.
Jeff moaned loudly, his fingers scrabbling sharp frantic touches to the back of his neck and shoulders as he pushed into the kiss hard.
“You’re a nightmare,” Alan growled. He slid his thumb between Jeff’s parted lips, his eyelids heavy with want as he watched Jeff nip at the digit and lick it thoroughly.
A laugh bubbled out of Jeff’s chest when Alan moved to suck at the side of his neck, the sound turning into a keen moan when his teeth scraped heatedly.
Fingers twisting into his hair, Jeff tugged until Alan pulled his mouth away, lips tingling and wet.
“Show me how good you are,” Jeff whispered, his eyes wide and bright with nerves. His fingers shook when he pressed them to Alan’s swollen, pursed lips. “I, uh, want… I want you to, uh… I want you to suck me.”
